CALL FOR PROPOSALS: Photography Workshop Leaders
7 December 2012 - 17 December 2012
Pump House Gallery are looking for art facilitators, with a background in photography, to lead a drop in workshop for all ages.
Background
The Pump House Gallery’s programme has engagement at its core and one Sunday of every month, the gallery host Monthly Dos. These workshops provide families and people of all ages a regular chance to drop in and participate in a range of free art activities. They provide a space for people to learn new skills from practicing artists and have fun in a creative environment.
The workshops are often informed by the artwork on display and the Monthly Dos in February to April will be running alongside the upcoming exhibition by BBKP. BBKP a group of four artists, Nathan Birchenough, Nicholas Brown, Craig Kao & Savvas Papasavva, who have worked together since 2006. For this exhibition, they have developed interactive activities based on their discovery of non-digital photography; building pin hole cameras with peanuts shells and testing slit scan cameras on various moving devices. The exhibition will be a documentation of their explorative and playful process of constructing and inventing.
