Souvenir - Delivery Day
12 May 201210 am – 4pm
June will see Battersea Park become a hive of activity in celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. As part of the festivities, Pump House Gallery is hosting the exhibition Souvenir which features royal memorabilia and royal memories on loan from members of the public. The exhibition will see artefacts come together alongside photo portraits and written testaments of the owner’s anecdotal stories.
Be part of History and exhibit your Royal Souvenirs with us. This saturday is a special collection day for you to drop off your contribution to the exhibition, there will be free refreshments for contributors and professional photographer Tim Mitchell and an Oral Historian Carla Ferrari will also be on hand to record your images and stories.
If you have a souvenir/s that you would like to lend the Jubilee team for the Souvenir exhibition, a story about Jubilee days or The Royal Family we would greatly value your input.
There will be a celebratory closing event for all participants on Sunday 24 June at Pump House Gallery and you you will be able to collect your submission then.
Please bring your souvenir packaged and labelled with your name. Submitted souvenirs will be securely stored and then exhibited at the gallery from 04 June - 24 June 2012. Great care will be taken with all submissions but Diamond Jubilee and Pump House Gallery can take no responsibility for the loss or damage of any submitted materials. Please note that there is no vehicle access to the Pump House Gallery see here for more details of how to get to the gallery.
