Most Pump House Gallery exhibitions include a dedicated schools programme that responds to the exhibition. The First Humans, from 22nd January - 29 March 2015, looks at contemporary art with a prehistoric feel. From 23 April - 31 May, the exhibition 3 Branches of the Same Tree: Art, Science and Education has worked with Artists, Scientists and Teachers to explore the curriculum topics of Light, Sound and Forces & Magnets. Alongside both exhibitions, we will be offering FREE Schools Workshops and Teachers Workshops.
Pump House Gallery is pleased to offer workshops and tours alongside exhibitions. Throughout the year, we are pleased to offer three different workshops for groups and schools to choose from.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural open submission exhibition, the Pump House Gallery is pleased to announce our annual open exhibition, The Trouble with Painting Today.
Over 2014 an array of temporary projects reignited the ambient Project Space into an intergral part of the exhibition programme. At the heart of these developments is Reading Project: a place with a drop-in focus that welcomes everyone to use the space as they wish and offers educational and artistic resources to enhance their experience of exhibitions.
OutHouse refers to our off-site activities. Pump House Gallery delivers a number of activities and workshops at venues across the borough.
