Ongoing drop-in activities for all ages
For each exhibition, Pump House Gallery invites visitors to drop in to the Project Space and explore ideas through hands-on activities. Created by an artist, these activities are open for all to enjoy during the gallery opening hours. Please check the opening hours here.
For the exhibition The Grounds We Tread, artist Rosalie Schweiker explores and questions the rules and regulations of public spaces and social interactions. Who’s making the rules? Is it you or someone else? Come and join us for some rule-breaking activities which you can do yourself, any time in the Project Space.
About the artist
Rosalie Schweiker uses social exchanges to find new functions for art in society. Her work often manifests itself in humorous interventions, such as sleepovers, pizza portraits, confidence-building workshops, gardening and other seemingly random activities. Since Rosalie’s focus is on the communicative effects of art, most of her work leaves hardly any material trace.
Upcoming family workshops
Every other Sunday, from 12 – 4pm, this ongoing set of activities is animated by free drop-in family workshops. The workshops provide a fun and thought-provoking way for young audiences to explore the exhibition and learn about new techniques and materials with the guidance of an established artist.
In these five playful family workshops, join us on the dates below as we will explore the do’s and don’ts of our lives.
